Watch: Footage shows Adolphus Washington’s weapons arrest

Warning: Video contains coarse language

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was arrested Sunday in Ohio for improperly carrying a concealed weapon, and TMZ Sports obtained footage of the arrest.

In the video, an officer is heard telling Washington, "You don't know how lucky you are, man. That was close, buddy. That was very close."

Washington had a gun in his hand when he was surrounded by officers.

“Why in the hell would you have that gun in your hand when we come stand right in front of you? What would you be thinking?” an officer asks.

“No. I wasn’t reaching for it. I was putting it away. I already had it in my hand,” Washington said.

Ohio State’s Adolphus Washington cited for solicitation

Ohio State defensive lineman Adolphus Washington was cited for a first-degree misdemeanor charge of solicitation Wednesday night, according to Sean Rowe of FOX 28.

A school spokesman confirmed the news Thursday and said Ohio State will handle any discipline for Washington internally.

Washington posted 49 tackles and four sacks for the Buckeyes' defense in 2015 and was named a second-team All Big Ten selection. The senior is also widely considered likely to be selected in the first two rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft.

It remains to be seen if Ohio State will suspend Washington for the Fiesta Bowl. Coach Urban Meyer is planning to address the issue Friday, according to Eric Seger of 11warriors.com.

Washington is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 17.
