Panthers fan charged with simple assault after sucker-punch goes viral

A Carolina Panthers fan who was caught on video sucker-punching an older fan during Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles has been charged with simple assault.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department identified Kyle Adam Maraghy as the aggressor and tweeted that he was being taken to Mecklenburg County Jail on Friday.

Maraghy, wearing a Cam Newton jersey, punched another man in the face several times, causing the victim to bleed from the left cheek.

The Panthers released a statement Friday, stating that they'd work with police to "pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law."

Sunken Place QB Cam Newton Goes Full Sexist: “It’s Funny To Hear A Female Talk About Routes”

Cam Newton took an L today (Oct. 4), while standing behind a podium. During a press conference, Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue asked the Panthers QB about the his receivers (David Funchess) running routes more physically, and he went full sexist.

You knew it was all downhill when Newton started smirking before she even finished her question.

“It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes,” said Newton.

The moment was cringe worthy, and Rodrigue responded on Twitter.

And yes, she addressed it with Newton afterwards, and it didn’t go well.

This will go viral and expect a Newton mea culpa sooner than later. Also, don’t be one of those people defending the indefensible.

  1. Women know sports, ask Jemele Hill, and ain’t nothing funny about it.
  2. Using “female” as a noun when referring to a woman is offensive.

Watch the clip and and see some of the early Cam Newton slander below. Media training, anyone?

Whole Fam Nuts: Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock’s Brother Goes On Rambling Rant About His Brother’s Mindstate [Video]

Eric Paddock, the brother of Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, spoke with CBS once again this afternoon in a bizarre, lengthy interview. He’s all over the place, bouncing from crying about his mother raising 4 bad kids alone to defending his brother’s suspiciously high spending, saying they’re wealthy people and “$ 100,000 isn’t really that much money.”

He’s been speaking to the media A LOT since all of this popped off, which seems strange in itself. But in a situation where a family member turns out to be the perpetrator of the deadliest mass shooting in US history…we can’t truly gauge what the proper reaction should be, especially if they never saw it coming like they claim. SMH. PLEASE watch the full clip HERE if you have 30 spare minutes to confuse yourself with.

Got Bars? ‘NYPD Officer’ Goes In On “For The P” Challenge [Video]

Instagram Photo

Okay, so this isn’t a real officer of the law…which is probably a good thing, since we’re pretty sure nothing like this is allowed in-uniform.

This actor/comedian took a break from shooting something or other to throw his hat in the “For The P***y” challenge. He even threw in something resembling a milly rock at the end. Did he kill it or nah?
